MLB Wives at bat for E!

Just in time for MLB's All-Star break, E! television will premiere a new "True Hollywood Story" that might actually be of interest to the male audience. "True Hollywood Story: Baseball Wives" airs tonight at 10 p.m. EST and spends a day in the life of baseball wives including:

Laura Posada (Yankees C Jorge Posada)
Heidi Hamels (Phillies P Cole Hamels)
Katie Hamilton (Rangers CF Josh Hamilton)
Carrie Proctor (Marlins P Scott Proctor
U.S. national softball team P Jennie Finch (Astros prospect Casey Daigle)

So why might a baseball fan be interested in the episode? All attractive ladies, Finch, Hamels and Posada are especially easy on the eyes and have appeared in men's magazines throughout the past few years. An ex-”Survivor” contestant, Hamels was featured in a lovely Playboy spread last year. But Posada, a law-school graduate and author, thinks the episode will shed light on what being a baseball player's wife is really all about.

In a New York Daily News interview Posada said, "People think that just because you're married to a baseball player, that you're dumb, that you're a gold digger, that you're an ex-stripper. That's not the way it is. I still haven't met that one girl.

Most of the girls that I know, that are baseball wives, are super sweet girls. They're successful in their own right. I really hope that after people see this show, they realize that there's a lot more than just what people think baseball wives are."
