While some NBA players are spending the lockout showing off their scoring prowess in summer leagues (see Durant, Kevin and Wall, John), Lakers F Matt Barnes and Timberwolves F Michael Beasley are having some anger management issues. The duo was involved in separate altercations during games on opposite coasts last night.
According to KGO-TV in San Francisco, Barnes got into a fight at a Pro-Am game in the Bay Area. The brawl went down at the Kezar Pavillion during a game between Barnes' Dream Team and a team called East Bay. Barnes apparently punched an East Bay player in the face, but the refs didn't see it and Barnes wasn't ejected from the game.
In New York last night, Beasley got into it with a fan. According to the AP:
In the second half of a summer league game at Dyckman Park in Washington Heights, Beasley was jawing back and forth with a fan who was getting on his case. Then Beasley shoved the fan’s face and security intervened. A guard and teammates led the former Kansas State star away from the fan, though Beasley later shook the fan’s hand.
