Tebow Gets Tebow'd

As if going 18/39, throwing a pick and losing a fumble in a 45-10 home loss wasn't bad enough, Tim Tebow got a taste of his own medicine via Lions LB Stephen Tulloch.

After one of the Lions' seven sacks on Tebow , Tulloch celebrated by dropping to his knee to mock the "Tebowing" phenomenon that went viral last week after the 2nd-year QB led Denver to a crazy 4th quarter comeback against Miami.

"I figured I'd get to him a couple of times this game and had an opportunity to get it in," Tulloch said. "It was a little fun, man. No disrespect to Tebow. I was just doing a little 'Tebowing.' It's fun when you go out there and get after it like we did."

You have to assume that this sack dance will extend to the Broncos' future opponents since Tebow has been sacked 13 times in his two starts since replacing Kyle Orton as QB1.

Check out Tulloch "Tebowing" sack celebration.

Buck's Historic Call

Capping off one of the best World Series games in recent memory, FOX play-by-play voice Joe Buck said “We will see you tomorrow night!” after David Freese hit a walk-off solo home run to keep the Cardinals' championship hopes alive and pushing the series to Game 7.

Ironically, that was exactly the same call that Buck's father Jack made after Kirby Puckett's 11th inning walk-off homer ended game six in the 1991 World Series and extended the Twins to a game 7 versus the Braves.

Pretty crazy that father and son Buck made the same call, 20 years apart, describing two walk-off homers, both in game six and both in the 11th inning. Also, funny to note that color commentator Tim McCarver was in the booth for both Buck calls.

Check out the broadcasts spliced together. Major hat tip to The Big Lead and SI's Jimmy Traina.

Suit up with Steve Nash

Suns PG Steve Nash has made the most of his extended offseason and since he can't suit up for Phoenix, the two-time MVP is getting into the fashion business.

After wearing their suits for three years, Nash has invested in online made-to-measure suit maker Indochino and has designed a line of suits and ties.

To celebrate the noteworthy partnership, Indochino has launched a Facebook contest: "Suit up with Steve Nash and Indochino."

The winner of Nash's contest will earn round-trip airfare for two to Phoenix along with two nights in a hotel, two tickets to a Suns game (assuming they play this season) in addition to a post-game handshake from Nash. The winner also receives two suits from the Steve Nash Collection and $500 of spending money.

Check out a few shots of Nash's new suits.

Is Robison The Vikes' Future Kicker?

Once longtime NFL kicker Ryan Longwell hangs up his spikes, Vikings DE Brian Robison might be the team's best option.

Check out Robison's kick to Packers lineman T.J. Lang's junk after a 2nd quarter field goal attempt.

Robison got flagged for the very low blow, but wasn't ejected. A fine will no doubt come his way this week.

After the Packers' W, Lang had this to say about Robison's kicks:
“It was in the sweet spot. In my opinion, it was a pretty cowardly move. I didn’t do anything dirty to the guy. I don’t know what he was upset about. He decided to kick me right in the groin. You never want to see that in a football game. I’m just proud of the way I responded. I didn’t throw any punches. It was really hard for me to keep my cool.”

Robison offered a lame apology via Twitter last night:
My apologies to @tjlang70 , my team, my fans and the @nfl . I am not a dirty player and did not maliciously aim for the groin, just happened to be where it landed.

Ref Streaker Hits UCLA/Zona

By far the most exciting part of Arizona's 48-12 shellacking of UCLA on ESPN last night was a Wildcat student streaker who ran onto the field dressed as a ref, which ultimately led to a bench-clearing brawl to end the 1st half.

Full video of U of A student, Jace Lankow interrupting last night's game.

Here is footage of the Arizona-UCLA brawl that ensued (the best the Bruins looked last night.)

Major hat to tip to The Big Lead.

Dirk To Throw Out World Series First Pitch

A day after reports said Major League Baseball turned down NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki to throw out the first pitch of Game Three of the World Series in Arlington on Saturday, Commissioner Bud Selig gave the Mavericks star forward his blessing.

MLB said the initial denial of Nowitzki did not have anything to do with Nowitzki himself or the NBA's ongoing labor troubles, as had been suggested in some media reports. Sources said the league simply had preferred other names on the prospective list.

Nowitzki showed off his lackluster pitching skills before the Rangers' game June 25 against the New York Mets, about two weeks after leading the Mavs past the Heat for the first championship in franchise history.

"NFL Blitz" to Return

EA Sports today will announce plans to bring back the classic and controversial video game franchise, "NFL Blitz."

The violent late '90s and early '00s football game will be re-released with a download-only version slated for early January on the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.

According to the Sports Business Daily, the original "NFL Blitz" featured a highly exaggerated level of simulated violence, leading the league to eventually pull its license from franchise creator Midway Games but EA Sports worked extensively with the NFL to tone down the game slightly while still seeking to retain its original spirit.

Check out a trailer for the toned-down version of "NFL Blitz."

Aggressive Weekend for Coaches

It was a very exciting weekend for outspoken football coaches' post-game activities.

After Oregon defeated Arizona State 41-27 on Saturday night in Eugene, ESPN's Erin Andrews tried to interview coach Chip Kelly on the field, however the Ducks student body was making it a little difficult for the coach to hear EA's questions. Kelly asked nicely for the noisy student body to "SHUT UP!" and the crowd was silenced.

The most impressive post-game gestures however, came after the 49ers gave the Lions their first loss of the season yesterday at Ford Field. After 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh celebrated the W by aggressively shaking hands with Lions coach Jim Schwartz, all hell broke lose. Awesome video below.

Hernandez Eats Chicken During Interview

Multitasking is always a great move, except when you're making fun of another beloved sports team in your city.

Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez ate a piece of chicken in front of his locker yesterday while meeting with media, clearly mocking the Red Sox and their alleged in-game food and drink habits.

The Boston Globe recently reported that some Red Sox pitchers would drink beer, eat fried chicken and play video games in the clubhouse during games. Who knows if this played into the team's epic collapse to end the regular season, but it is still interesting to note.

You can watch the entire Hernandez interview at NFL.com and the 2nd-year tight end makes sure to tell reporters that: "It's grilled, so it's pretty healthy."

No doubt Bill Belichick will have some words and/or take action against his hungry tight end.

"60 Minutes" Features Rosenhaus

NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus was featured last night on "60 Minutes" and demonstrated his recruiting pitch to Scott Pelley.

In the full "60 Minutes" segment , Rosenhaus made a pretty bold statement when he said, "I really believe that the NFL would fall apart without me. That may sound cocky, that may sound arrogant, but I am telling you the truth."

Rosenhaus took to Twitter this morning to clarify his comments:

I want to clarify a comment from 60 Minutes. I believe the NFL would fall apart without the contributions of the sports agent profession.

Agents as a whole play an important role in the infrastructure of the NFL. Agents help to keep the business of the NFL running smoothly

Better Juggling TD?

Tough decision here: Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe and Giants WR Victor Cruz both had awesome fantasy days (Bowe 7 catches for 128 yards and 2 TDs and Cruz 8 catches for 161 yards and 1 TD) and both made unreal juggling catches.

So which catch was better? Cruz obviously had the better TD dance.

Megatron Graces SI Cover

Over the last month, Sports Illustrated has released regional covers but this week, the magazine went national with a cover story on the 4-0 Detroit Lions.

Two-touchdown-a-game receiver Calvin Johnson graces the cover this week.

Hopefully, SI doesn't jinx the undefeated Lions as they face division rival Bears on Monday night.

SJax Drops Lockout Music Video

As NBA and NBPA reps begin a critical 48-hour stretch of negotiating, we thought Bucks F Stephen Jackson's lockout music video would be extremely appropriate.

Although it is a little NSFW, Captain Jack's "What’s a Lockout" is for sure worth a watch.
